Finding the right sling can sometimes feel overwhelming with all the different styles, sizes, and fabrics to choose from. Where do you begin? Join us to learn about sling basics, what sling styles are available, how to size clients for a sling and choosing sling materials. The aim of this session is to have participants feel comfortable with the process of selecting a sling that is right for their client.

With over 25 years of experience as a Registered Physiotherapist in the Province of Ontario, Sofia Ianni-Palarchio is currently the National Clinical Educator with Handicare. Sofia has been providing clinical education, training, and resources to health care providers across Canada by leveraging her hands on clinical experience, knowledge of safe patient handling and mobility solutions, and sharing lessons learned from colleagues’ coast to coast to ensure caregivers and those we care for remain safe.
